Eligibility:

2017 SCA rules require that all participants have a valid 2015 USATF membership. Membership may be done online at www.usatf.org.  Entries opened to any boy or girl in the following divisions – 8 year olds Born 2009 and earlier, 9 & 10 Born 2008-2007, 11 &12 Born 2006-2005, 13 & 14 Born 2004-2003, 15 & 16 Born 2002-2001, 17-18 Born 2000 -1999. Participant waiver/release forms for each athlete must be filled out and available prior to the meet. They can be found on the Usatf.org website.

Limitation:

8 & Under, 9-10 and 11-12 are limited to three events. 13-14 through 17-18 are limited to four events. Registration: Registration will start at 7:00 a.m. and will remain open all day.

8 & under born 2011 or later (age 5 & 6 by December 31 are restricted to 100M, 200M, Long Jump, Shot Put, Mini Javelin, 4x100M Relay & 4x400M Relay).

Surface:

All-Weather Track and Runway. Restricted 3/16” Pyramid Spikes.

Registration:

To register individuals, unattached, and Teams, go online www.athletic.net. Online entry deadline is 11:59pm on Monday May 22, 2017.

Please Note:  All athletes entering the meet must have their age verified through their USATF Association Office or Athletic.net will not accept their registration for The LA Jets Invitational.

Late Registration & Packet Pickup

Late entries will be $7.00 per event or $28.00 per relay and subject to lane availability.  Packet Pickup & Late registration will be available at Meet Headquarters.

Late registration will take place on Friday May 26th from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Meet Headquarters:

Team packets can also be picked up at the track located at Gahr High School on Saturday and Sunday.

Please Note: Registration tags for all events contested on Friday (3000m, Long & Triple Jump, Reg. Jav. and Shot Put) need to be picked up at the registration table located at the track (Gahr High School).  Friday event tags will NOT be available at Meet Headquarters. 

Late registration at the meet will be restricted to 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a. m. on Saturday and Sunday for seeding.

Entry Fees:

$3.50 per individual event and $14.00 per relay. Entries fees are non-refundable and must be paid online (credit card only). Late registration will accept cash, club check or money order. Southern California Association clubs may pay for late registration with club checks made payable to “Los Angeles Jets Track Club” – NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED and Club Checks will not be accepted from teams outside of the Southern California Association.

Protests:

Must be made in writing (rule number must be indicated with a $50.00 cash deposit within 30 minutes of posted result). Protest sheets will be available and must be returned to the registration table.

Awards:

Custom medals will be awarded to first, second and third place. Custom ribbons will be awarded to fourth through eighth place in each event. Athletes must wear their competition number when picking up their awards and all awards must be picked up at the meet – we do not mail or deliver awards after the meet. Any concerns about placement need to be addressed before the end of the meet before they are finalized and posted to the association website.

Division trophies will be presented to the top two teams in the 8 & Under through 13-14 Divisions, using the 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system. A Team Championship Trophy will be presented to the top overall boy and girl team. The host team will be excluded from these awards but will displace in the scoring.

Meet Results:

Will be provided online by May 29th at www.lajetstrack.com. Results will also be made available on www.scausatf.org.

Check In:

All participants in running events must check in at the Clerk of the Course when their events are called. Events check-in will close 5 min after final call – No exceptions. Field event participants must report directly to the Official on the field in charge of the event when called.

Parking:

$5.00 per car (in/out allowed). The City of Cerritos is strict with parking restriction and will ticket & tow for illegal parking. Please respect all posted parking restrictions. The LA Jets will not be held liable for the illegal parking of any guests.

Tents and large umbrellas are restricted to the top rows on both sides of the track but ROPED OFF AREAS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED AND WILL BE REMOVED BY MEET MANAGEMENT.

Please Note: Tents can be set up at Gahr High School beginning at 3pm on Friday, May 26th.  Please do NOT enter the stadium facilities prior to that time.

Concessions:

Food, drinks, snacks, Programs and Custom LA Jets Invitational 2017 Apparel (Shirts and Hoodies with the names of all pre-registered athletes on the back as well as other apparel) will be available for purchase.

We ask that all attendees abstain from barbecuing or cooking food in the parking lot of the meet as well as patronizing uninvited vendors including ice cream carts and other unauthorized sales persons. No sales are to be performed in the stands, parking lots or adjacent streets.
